Charge d'Affaires: Arrival of Ambassador of Peru to Azerbaijan is a leap forward in our bilateral relations

Baku. 24 May. REPORT.AZ/ “I am sorry that I have to leave Baku after a short period of stay here. Due to family issues I returned to Peru”.

Report was told by Charge d'Affaires of Peru in Azerbaijan Luis Chang Boldrini.

The diplomat noted that the opening of a fully functioning embassy of Peru in Azerbaijan is his great achievement:"I am happy that I was able to find local workers who are faithful and responsible.

Answering the question about "what else could be achieved during the years of stay in Azerbaijan," L.Boldrini said that success can be achieved in all aspects:"Diplomatic work does not stop, it becomes stronger.As I already mentioned, Peru and Azerbaijan are ancient states, but our relations were established only in 1996. We moved forward in discussing a number of agreements, we were active in promoting investment opportunities in the mine industry and the private sector of Peru. We also established contacts between entrepreneurs of Peru and Azerbaijan.

Speaking about his future activity, L.C.Boldrini said that he will continue to work in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru, where he works for 29 years: "I do not have a specific appointment yet, but I hope that I will be able to continue working in the direction of Azerbaijan. In Peru there are not so many officials who have knowledge about Azerbaijan and the Caucasus, and I think that I can still help in strengthening of bilateral relations between our countries."

In the end, the Peruvian diplomat said he was proud to meet Baku with a large number of good people: "I am also glad that the new head of the mission will be the ambassador. This means that Peru expresses interest in raising the level of its embassy in Baku”.
