The Khojaly genocide, during which hundreds of Azerbaijani civilians were killed and captured, will forever remain a black mark in history, Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Birol Akgun said in an interview with journalists, according to Report.
"We mourn our martyrs. This was an act of genocide committed by Armenian armed forces, as a result of which 613 innocent people were killed. On that day, many Azerbaijanis were captured and went missing. This tragic event left an indelible mark in history. We express our condolences to the Azerbaijani people," the diplomat said.
