Belgian FM: It is necessary to expand dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia

It is necessary to remove obstacles and expand the dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Belgian Foreign Minister Hadja Lahbib told a joint press conference with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Report informs.

“This is a historic opportunity to establish peace between Azerbaijan and Armenia. Negotiations between the leaders of Azerbaijan and Armenia were held in Brussels with the mediation of the head of the Council of the European Union, Charles Michel. Belgium highly appreciates Azerbaijan's special attention to this issue,” she stressed.

The minister added that Brussels will continue its efforts to promote peace.

“Brussels considers Azerbaijan an important partner. We are interested in strengthening cooperation,” Lahbib said.
