The recent growth in trade turnover and mutual investments between Azerbaijan and Iraq reflects a mutual interest in expanding economic cooperation, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said during a joint press conference with his Iraqi counterpart Fuad Hussein in Baghdad today, according to Report.
"The strategic location and geographic proximity of our countries, we believe, create favorable conditions for cooperation in areas such as energy, infrastructure, construction, logistics, agriculture, ICT, tourism, and more. The recently established intergovernmental commission can serve as a strong catalyst for further development of our partnership," Bayramov said.
