Baku calls on UN to pay attention to fate of 4,000 missing Azerbaijanis

Azerbaijan calls on authorized bodies and mechanisms of the UN to pay attention to the issue of clarifying the fate of about 4,000 Azerbaijanis who went missing in the First Karabakh War, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov said at a high-level meeting within the framework of the 56th session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

According to Report, Mammadov emphasized that the issue of clarifying the fate of missing Azerbaijanis is of paramount importance for Azerbaijan, as it will put an end to the suffering of their families and loved ones.

"We call on authorized bodies and mechanisms of the UN to keep this issue on their agenda and demand full cooperation from Armenia," the deputy minister said.
