Baku and Dushanbe aim to increase trade turnover and implement joint projects

Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan and Co-Chairman of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation between Tajikistan and Azerbaijan, Samir Sharifov, held a meeting with the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Baku, Ilhom Abdurahmon, Report informs, citing the Foreign Affairs Ministry of Tajikistan.

During the talks, the parties discussed the progress of the implementation of the agreements reached following the seventh meeting of the intergovernmental commission.

In addition, Sharifov and Abdurahmon draw attention to the current state and prospects for the development of cooperation, in particular, increasing trade turnover, expanding interaction in the fields of industry, agriculture, transport and investment.

Samir Sharifov also informed the head of the mission that he would take part in the High-Level International Conference on Glacier Conservation, which will be held on May 29-31 this year in Dushanbe, as the head of the Azerbaijani delegation.
