Bakhtiyor Khudoyorzoda: Azerbaijani gov’t thoroughly prepared for elections

The observation process showed that the Azerbaijani government had thoroughly prepared for the organization of this important political event, the head of the Central Commission for Elections and Referendums of Tajikistan, Bakhtiyor Khudoyorzoda, said at a press conference, Report informs.

"The Central Election Commission of Azerbaijan ensured transparency and openness in the elections. Political parties, media and public associations made an important contribution to this process. Polling stations were equipped accordingly," he noted.

He added that on voting day, they [the observers] were present at the opening of the polling station: “During the observation process, we didn’t notice any violations. The organizational work of the Central Election Commission, as well as the media, contributed to the activity of voters. We believe that the early elections were held in accordance with the constitution and electoral code of the Republic of Azerbaijan."
