Azerbaijani MPs, head of the Azerbaijan-France Inter-Parliamentary Connexions Working Group, Soltan Mammadov, and the group members Ramin Mammadov and Tural Ganjaliyev, who are on a visit to Paris, met with Pierre Vatin, head of the friendship group for Azerbaijan of France's National Assembly, and members of the group on June 8, Report informs, citing the Milli Majlis.
The members of the French National Assembly were given detailed information about the realities in the region at the meeting attended by the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to France, Leyla Abdullayeva.
Speaking about the relations between the two countries, especially the parliaments, the French parliamentarians emphasized the importance of strengthening these relations.
Azerbaijani MPs noted that Azerbaijan has consistently made efforts to create an environment of sustainable peace and cooperation in the South Caucasus.
The parties also emphasized the importance of inter-parliamentary relations in the development of bilateral relations and discussed the prospects of cooperation.
