Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov received the newly appointed ambassador of the State of Qatar to Azerbaijan, Mohammad Hamad Saad al-Hajri, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
Jeyhun Bayramov congratulated Ambassador Mohammad Hamad Saad al-Hajri on his appointment and wished him success during his tenure.
During the meeting, issues arising from the current bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda between Azerbaijan and Qatar, future plans, as well as the current situation in the region were discussed.
Political, economic-trade, educational and humanitarian ties between the two countries. the existence of successful cooperation in these fields was noted with satisfaction.
In order to further expand the current cooperation, a number of mechanisms, including political consultations, as well as the importance of using the opportunities of the Joint Economic, Trade and Technical Commission between the governments of the two countries were noted.
In addition to bilateral cooperation, it was underscored that mutually beneficial activities within the framework of regional and international organizations are admirable, especially that new opportunities for cooperation have arisen within the framework of Azerbaijan's chairmanship of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29).
The diplomats also discussed the reconstruction carried out in Azerbaijan's liberated territories, as well as the process of normalization of relations with Armenia.
Ambassador Muhammad Hamad Saad al-Hajri thanked for the reception and congratulations and said that he will spare no effort in the development of the current cooperation between Azerbaijan and Qatar during his tenure.
