Azerbaijani FM, IAEA Director General discuss Metsamor NPP

At a meeting with Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov stressed the importance of compliance with the safety standards established by the Agency, in particular, during the operation of the Metsamor NPP.

Report informs, citing Azerbaijan's Foreign Ministry, that Grossi said Azerbaijan is an important partner for the IAEA, there are prospects for deepening cooperation with Azerbaijan in the field of nuclear safety and other areas in which the agency specializes.
