Azerbaijan, US discuss regional peace and TRIPP implementation

Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov has received David Allen, the US chargé d'affaires in Armenia, who is visiting Azerbaijan.

According to Report, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said the meeting focused on the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia, advancing the peace process, ensuring long-term and sustainable peace, and steps to strengthen stability and security in the region.

The sides also exchanged views on the results of Mammadov's visit to the US on the anniversary of the Washington Peace Summit, the trilateral declaration signed there, ongoing work to implement the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), and the establishment of the TRIPP Development Company, which will oversee the construction of infrastructure related to the route.

The meeting also reviewed the Azerbaijan-US bilateral agenda and prospects for future cooperation in areas outlined in the Charter on Strategic Partnership.

US Chargé d'Affaires in Azerbaijan Amy Carlon also attended the meeting.
