Azerbaijan, US discuss prospects for bilateral relations

On August 10, within his visit to the United States, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov held a meeting with Andrew Stowe, US Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on the current state and prospects of Azerbaijan–United States bilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of further developing the partnership between the two countries across a broad range of areas.
The discussions focused in particular on the implementation of the Charter on Strategic Partnership between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the United States of America and outcomes of Baku Economic Dialogue.
Moreover, the parties exchanged views on a number of international and regional issues of mutual interest, and reaffirmed their readiness to maintain close engagement and continue consultations on matters contributing to peace, security and prosperity.
