Azerbaijan's presidential administration chief meets with IEA executive director

Head of the Presidential Administration of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP29) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change Samir Nuriyev met with Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA) Fatih Birol, according to Report.

Chairman of the Organizing Committee Samir Nuriyev provided detailed insights into Azerbaijan’s preparations for COP29.

IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol emphasized that he was received by President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, adding that productive talks about COP29 took place throughout the meeting. Fatih Birol expressed the IEA’s readiness to contribute to the success of the COP29.
