Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan are launching the practical implementation of laying a fiber-optic cable line along the bottom of the Caspian Sea, Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Azerbaijan Serzhan Abdikarimov told reporters at a press conference, Report informs.
He reminded that the Kazakh company Kazakhtelecom and the Azerbaijani AzerTelecom had already signed a document on the technical solution for the construction of fiber-optic communication along the bottom of the Caspian Sea.
“We have changed the company, and we are already starting practical implementation,” he said.
The ambassador reminded that the document itself was signed in 2019, but due to the pandemic, the project implementation process was delayed.
