On September 11, Argentina's ambassador to Azerbaijan Mariangeles Bellusci was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Report informs, citing MFA.
During the meeting, the note of protest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was presented to the Argentine ambassador over the groundless allegation of Argentine President Alberto Fernandez made during the G20 Summit on September 10, 2023, in New Delhi.
It was stated that it is regrettable to voice such unfounded statements based on the smear campaign conducted by Armenia against Azerbaijan, which distorts the realities in the region and reflects terminology against Azerbaijan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
As noted, Azerbaijan's proposals to use alternative roads, including the Aghdam-Khankandi road, to meet the needs of Armenian residents, and the fact that the food products sent have not yet been accepted, demonstrate that the situation is political rather than humanitarian, as claimed by Armenia.
In this regard, it was brought to the attention of the Argentine side that it is important to refrain from statements against the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Azerbaijan.
