Azerbaijan, Iran discuss transfer of prisoners

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Iran Ali Alizadeh met with Iranian Justice Minister Amin-Hossein Rahimi, Report informs, citing the Azerbaijani Embassy in Iran.

The sides stressed the importance attached by the Presidents of Azerbaijan and Iran to the relations and the importance of further enhancing cooperation between the two countries as friendly and close neighbors in bilateral and international organizations. They talked about the work done in the field of justice, the effective links between the Ministries of Justice of the two countries, the projects implemented in both countries to improve the penitentiary system.

They also exchanged views on expanding cooperation between the judiciary of the two countries, increasing efforts to resolve legal issues, as well as the transfer of prisoners, the continuation of visits and meetings, legal assistance, and other issues.
