Azerbaijan, Germany discuss prospects for future co-op

Azerbaijan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Xalaf Xalafov received German Ambassador to Azerbaijan Wolfgang Manig on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.

Report informs that at the meeting, an insight into the history of diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Germany was made; it was noted that relations between the two countries are developing at all levels, and an exchange of views took place on the prospects for future cooperation.

Xalaf Xalafov noted with satisfaction the importance of continuing the political dialogue between Azerbaijan and Germany and the positive dynamics observed in the economic sector. Touching upon Azerbaijan's relations with the European Union, he stressed the important role of Azerbaijan in the energy security of Europe.

Expressing congratulations on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries, Ambassador Wolfgang Mani stressed that Azerbaijan is an important economic partner of Germany in the South Caucasus.
