Azerbaijan, Comoros discuss cooperation on international platforms

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov has met with Moussa Abderemane, Minister of Finance, Budget and Banking Sector of the Union of the Comoros.

Report informs, citing the Foreign Ministry, that the meeting discussed prospects for developing the existing friendly and cooperative relations between Azerbaijan and the Union of the Comoros.

The sides particularly emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation within international organizations and platforms.

Azerbaijan's active role in international organizations, including the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, the Non-Aligned Movement and other multilateral platforms, was highlighted, and the importance of mutual support and solidarity was noted. In particular, the sides discussed expanding cooperation opportunities within the framework of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation Summit to be held in 2027.

The parties also noted the importance of further strengthening developing ties within South-South cooperation. Azerbaijan's efforts to promote cooperation with least developed countries within this platform were highly appreciated.
