Azerbaijan and Poland join forces to combat climate change

On June 5, 2024, Jeyhun Bayramov, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, discussed matters of cooperation and the post-conflict situation in the region with Marek Prawda, the Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland.

During the meeting, Minister Bayramov informed the Polish side about the work done and plans within the framework of Azerbaijan's presidency at the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29). He emphasized the additional opportunities for cooperation with Poland in the field of combating climate change under the COP29 framework.

Subsequently, consultations on the Azerbaijan-Poland Strategic Partnership were held with the participation of delegations headed by Fariz Rzayev, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, and the Polish delegation led by the Deputy State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The consultations focused on cooperation between the two countries within regional and international organizations.
