Azerbaijan will provide support to the Armenian population of the Karabakh region, Spokesman of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry Aykhan Hajizada said in an interview with Al-Jazeera.
According to Report, Hajizada noted that over the past few days there was a military escalation and an attack against the military and civilians of Azerbaijan that led to the counter-terrorism operation by Azerbaijani forces against the separatist and puppet regime established in Karabakh.
Hajizada noted that Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan even said in his address to the Armenian nation that Azerbaijan did not target the civilian population during the anti-terrorist measures.
"The Karabakh region was always a part of Azerbaijan and we lived in common harmony with all the ethnic minorities in Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan is a multi-ethnic society, and Armenians and Azerbaijanis always lived side by side throughout history," he said adding that Azerbaijan will ensure the implementation of the program on reintegration of Karabakh Armenians.
