"We strongly reject the absolutely unrealistic and slanderous statement of the Armenian Foreign Ministry on the situation in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan. First, once again we are stating that Armenia's comments over Azerbaijan’s sovereign territories are an attempt by this country to interfere in the internal affairs of Azerbaijan in violation of international law. Armenia, which held by force part of the territories of Azerbaijan under occupation for about 30 years, subjecting more than one million Azerbaijanis to ethnic cleansing and depriving them of the right to live in their homes, apparently turned the violation of international law into a habit.
Report informs, citing comments by the press service of the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry on the March 28 statement of the Armenian Foreign Ministry on the situation in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan.
"Armenia, violating Article 6 of the statement, is continuing to send military personnel to the region through the Lachin corridor. This fact was also confirmed in the international media," the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry said in a statement.
"On what basis does Armenia, which has been keeping the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan in a gas blockade for almost 30 years, carry out ecocide and culturicide in the Karabakh region of Azerbaijan and preventing international missions from traveling to these territories, appeals to the international community?! Armenia should understand that ensuring peace and stability in the region depends only on the unconditional implementation of all the provisions of the tripartite statement.
