Armenia can become an important partner of Azerbaijan in the Middle Corridor project, the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Netherlands Rahman Mustafayev said at the “Middle Corridor - New Horizon for Europe” conference in The Hague, Report informs.

In his speech, the diplomat informed the conference participants about Azerbaijan’s position and expectations of official Baku from this project, emphasizing that its most important result will be not only more efficient transportation of goods between China, Central Asia and Europe, but also the intensification of intraregional cooperation along the entire route.

Mustafayev also noted that the successful implementation of the Middle Corridor project will give impetus to cooperation between the countries of the South Caucasus. In this context, the Ambassador drew attention to the fact that after the signing of a peace treaty between Baku and Yerevan, Armenia could become an important partner for Azerbaijan and Georgia in the implementation of this project.

The conference, held in The Hague, which brought together numerous representatives of business circles, government, media and the expert community of the Netherlands, was organized jointly by the embassies of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Georgia and Türkiye in the Netherlands.

The general director of Baku International Sea Trade Port CJSC, Taleh Ziyadov, also joined the conference and made a presentation.
