Ali Faysal: UN should take steps regarding Palestinians

Palestine has called on the UN to take steps regarding Palestinians, Ali Faysal, Deputy Chairman of the Palestinian National Council, said at the opening ceremony of the 15th plenary session of the Asian Parliamentary Assembly (APA) held in Baku under Azerbaijan's chairmanship, Report informs.

"The return of refugees must be ensured. I also call on the Arab League for an urgent meeting to pay serious attention to the issue of humanitarian aid to Palestinians. The international community's help is needed for the reconstruction of Gaza. The parliaments of Arab and European countries should make efforts to demonstrate direct support for the Palestinian people. The issue of prisoner exchange should be taken seriously, and conditions should be created for humanitarian cargo to enter Gaza," he added.
