Albanian President highlights importance of Baku Forum amid global challenges

The Global Baku Forum is a significant event in the context of ongoing global challenges, President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, said during the opening of the 12th Global Baku Forum, according to Report.

"Today's forum is of great importance, as we still face many global challenges," he said.

"I am grateful to the Azerbaijani side for providing such an important platform for discussing global issues," he said.

Begaj emphasized that the modern world is facing not only a political but also an economic crisis.

"We live in an era where power tries to replace justice, and societies are collapsing. Today's challenges are a test for the new world order, a security threat. We must strive for peace restoration, defend borders, and ensure security. Transnational crime and other challenges require our joint response. We must uphold our values and aim for a world where all conflicts are resolved peacefully, and the economy develops steadily," he stated.

The Albanian leader also noted the success of the COP29 climate conference, held in Baku in November 2024.
