Ivan Perišić: This victory will not make sense unless we defeat Azerbaijan

Report informs that Ivan Perišić, one of the leading Croatian football players told in a statement on the official website of the Croatian Football Union following Euro 2020 qualifier which they defeated Slovakia (4: 0).

The 30-year-old midfielder said the team could score goal in every attack. The footballer, who currently plays for German Bayern stressed that they should help young players who are involved in the national team.

Perišić, the author of one goal in the match against Slovakia, also touched upon the importance of the match to be held against Azerbaijan on September 9: "The game against Slovakia is important, however if we do not defeat Azerbaijan, this victory will not make sense."

Notably, the match between Azerbaijan and Croatia to be held at Bakcell Arena will begin at 20:00.
