"I think Azerbaijan is a cunning rival. The players of this team will be dangerous at home," Slovak national football player Patrick Groshovski said commenting on Euro-2020 qualifying group match to be held in Baku. The 27-year-old midfielder, playing at the local club "Victoria" (Plzen), recalled the meeting of the UEFA Champions League 3rd qualifying round against Qarabag FC three years ago: "At that match Qarabag surprised us. We passed the stage through a draw (0: 0, 1:1). In the match, the hosts played well. I remember that there were two Azerbaijani footballers in the squad. They performed well."
Groshovski said that the match with Azerbaijan would not be easy. He also stressed the importance of a friendly match against Jordan on June 7 and also noted the importance of the match in Baku.
Notably, the Azerbaijan-Slovakia match to be held at Bakcell Arena on June 11 at 20:00.
