Sabah qualifies for UCL league phase

Azerbaijani champions Sabah FK have secured a historic place in the UEFA Champions League (UCL) league phase, Report informs.

In the play‑off second leg at the Tofig Bahramov Republican Stadium in Baku, Sabah defeated Israel's Hapoel Be'er Sheva F.C. 3–2 in regular time. Goals for the visitors came from Igor Zlatanović (10') and Guy Mizrahi (61'), while Sabah responded through Christian Nwachukwu (38'), Umarali Rakhmonaliev (74'), and Tellur Mutallimov (90+4').

Since Hapoel had won the first leg in Romania 2–1, the tie went into extra time.

Sabah then sealed qualification with goals from Patrick Orphé Mbina (101') and Joy‑Lens Mikels (115').

This marks the first time in the club's history that Sabah FK have reached the Champions League league phase.
