Ronaldo breaks international scoring record in Nations League final

The Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo etched his name even deeper into football history, scoring his 138th international goal in the UEFA Nations League final against Spain — a match Portugal won 5–3 on penalties after a 2–2 draw in regular time.

According to Report, with the goal, Ronaldo extended his lead as the all-time top scorer in men’s international football, pulling further ahead of Lionel Messi, who sits second with 112 goals for Argentina.

The 40-year-old forward continues to defy time, adding a third major international trophy to his collection. He previously won the Nations League in 2019 and the European Championship in 2016.
