The Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo etched his name even deeper into football history, scoring his 138th international goal in the UEFA Nations League final against Spain — a match Portugal won 5–3 on penalties after a 2–2 draw in regular time.
According to Report, with the goal, Ronaldo extended his lead as the all-time top scorer in men’s international football, pulling further ahead of Lionel Messi, who sits second with 112 goals for Argentina.
The 40-year-old forward continues to defy time, adding a third major international trophy to his collection. He previously won the Nations League in 2019 and the European Championship in 2016.
