A referee collapsed during a 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier on Tuesday before being stretchered off the field and taken to hospital.
According to Report, referee Charles Bulu collapsed during Ivory Coast's AFCON qualifier against Ethiopia earlier today. The incident was believed to occur with 10 minutes remaining in the game, with the Elephants leading 3-1.
The Ghanaian match official was reportedly feeling unwell in the moments leading up to the episode before players from both sets of teams tried to escort him to help.
According to the Daily Mail, Bulu was treated on the playing field before he was carried off on a stretcher, with reports since stating he was taken to hospital for further analysis.
