Real Madrid reportedly choose Xabi Alonso as next manager ahead of Carlo Ancelotti exit

Real Madrid have chosen Xabi Alonso to be their manager from next season, according to Radio Marca, Report informs via Sky Sports.

Alonso has impressed since taking charge of Bayer Leverkusen last season and was linked with the Tottenham job before Ange Postecoglou's appointment.

But he is reportedly set to return to the Bernabeu, where he won La Liga and the Champions League as a player.

Carlo Ancelotti, Real's current manager, is set to take charge of Brazil at the end of the season.
