Baku. 22 February. REPORT.AZ/ “Inter” Professional Sport Club's handover process completed.
AFFA representative appointed as interim manager of the club, Ramish Maliyev told Report.
R.Maliyev, who is also managing the AFFA's Legal and Personnel Department, told that all issues will be solved step by step. He told that the club doesn’t face threat of collapse: “Handover process ended, but I don’t want to share details. Because this is an internal issue of the club. The main point is that things are back in order. “Inter” will live in any case. Everything will be good, I can assure you. But it is difficult to say in which format the club will continue its operations. Let’s not talk over assumptions. Club’s qualification for European cups can play an important part in this issue. Touching upon replacement of “Inter” with other club, after its qualification to European cup, I cannot say anything concrete about this at present as well”.
R.Maliyev also touched upon fate of “Inter Arena”, which has been pledged to “KredAgro” Non-Bank Credit Institution. Club official believes that the issue will find its positive solution.
Fate of “Juventus” football school opened in March of last year in “Inter Arena” is also a big question after withdrawal of International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) from sponsorship.
Underlining that the project was initiated by IBA, R.Maliyev told that “Inter” club is also interested in upkeep of the football school: “It is an interesting project. We would like “Juventus” football school to keep on its operations. But it is difficult to say something on this issue at present”.
Notably, on January 27, IBA Board of Directors voted to suspend sponsorship to “Inter” Professional Sport Club. For this reason, AFFA took over the club's management on February 1.
