Baku. 24 January. REPORT.AZ/ "We faced a very strong team that doesn’t need any promotion. Nevertheless, despit numerous episodes we managed to make a draw," Waldemar Fornalik, manager of polish Piast Gliwice FC, said after a draw against Qarabag FC in Antalya, Turkey 1: 1. The 56-year-old coach said he was happy with the team's performance: "We had one or two episodes in the first half of the game. The second half proceed in a similar way. Maybe, those chances were not enough but we were dangerous for our opponent. In terms of power we made a very good impression."
Fornalik also expressed his satisfaction that the game ended without injuries in rainy weather: "Though it was raining, the atmosphere was excellent. Most importantly, both teams ended up without problems. Under such circumstances, players receive injuries. Every tough game brings excitement. However, our opponent played with less efforts. Sometimes, there are teams that play only for the score. Qarabag FC was not really that kind of team."
Notably, the game began at the main pitch of Gloria Sports Arena. However, due to heavy rains, the teams had to take advantage of the reserve space.
