Petr Cech to end his career in Baku

Petr Cech, the Arsenal goalkeeper, said the forthcoming Europa League final against his former side will be the “perfect” end to his distinguished career, Report informs citing foreign media.

"With all my experience I can compensate for the match rhythm with my preparation.

“You have days when you come home and play well and wonder if you should continue. I prefer to retire two years too early than one year too late. The last dream was to play this European final with Arsenal, and the dream came true.

“You have to be brave, keep calm and play your best game [in the final]. Every single round I went and thought this could be the last game.

Petr will complete his career at the end of the season. In the Europa League final Arsenal will play Cech's former team - Chelsea. The match is to be played in Baku on May 29.
