Messi to get 40 mln EUR for renewing

Baku. 13 March. REPORT.AZ/ Spanish Barcelona club will pay 40 million EUR to Lionel Messi for new contract.

Report informs citing El Mundo Deportivo, current contract between the 29-year old Argentina forward and Barcelona will expire in 2018 summer. Therefore, Barcelona is considering possible ways of cooperation with Messi.

Earlier, the club intended to pay annually 35 mln EUR. 

Notably, Barcelona trainee Lionel Messi made his debut in the first team on November 17, 2003. He scored 335 in 372 games in the club's squad.
