Footballer Mukhtarov's father: Nijat has nothing to do with this

Baku. 19 September. REPORT.AZ/ "We are not aware of the details of the incident. It seems to me that my son has nothing to do with this”.

Report was told by Asif Mukhtarov, father of Nijat Mukhtarov, player of Sumgayit club who has been detained for theft. He said that, It is not true that Mukhtarov had stolen to pay a fine imposed by the AFFA Disciplinary Committee at the end of last season: “This fine was not also paid by the club”.

Mukhtarov, said he was a driver and had no idea of football related issues. For this reason, he stressed that he did not want to talk extensively.

Nijat Mukhtarov was arrested in the organized group, which was suspected of robbing a total of 695 meters of air communication cable belonging to Sumgayit telecommunication junction on September 9 and 15.
