FIFA to announce report on investigation of corruption cases in April

Baku. 31 March. REPORT.AZ/ FIFA is going to announce internal report on investigation of corruption cases in April.

Report informs referring to the FIFA official website, in June 2015 up to 2.5 million documents were reviewed in the proceedings and numerous witnesses were questioned. 1300-page report prepared over investigations conducted within 22 months. There are also more than 20 thousand pages of evidence.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino, said that the investigation will be carried out in cooperation with the governmental authorities.

Notably, in May 2015, the US Federal Investigation Bureau (FBI) detained a number of high-ranking FIFA officials and 14 persons accused of corruption. During a series of arrests former president Sepp Blatter resigned.
