Draw for Azerbaijan Football Cup held

Baku. 14 November. REPORT.AZ/ A draw for the Azerbaijan Cup 2018/2019 season was held. Report informs that at the ceremony held at the administrative building of AFFA it was defined that the rivals of 12 teams will take part in the competition. Teams are divided into 3 baskets. "Qarabagh", "Gabala", "Neftchi" and "Zira" will start competition from 1/4 finals. During the draw, Sumgayit, Keshla, Sabail and Sabah took the second basket and Kapaz, Garadagh Lokbatan, Shuvalan and Agsu were included in the third basket.

The results of the meeting were as follows:

1/8 final (6th of December)

1. "Agsu" - "Sabah"

2. "Shuvalan" - "Keshla"

3. "Sumgayit" - "Garadagh Lokbatan"

4. "Sabail" - Kapaz "

1/4 finals (December 15-16 - December 19-20)

5. "Gabala" - "Agsu" / "Sabah"

6. "Qarabag" - "Shuvalan" / "Keshla"

7. "Neftchi" - "Sumgait" / "Garadagh Lokbatan"

8. "Zira" - "Kapaz" / "Sabail"

1/2 finals (April 23 - May 1)

9. Winner of 5 pairs - winner of 6 pairs

10. winner of 7 pairs - winner of 8 pairs

Final (May 19)

Winner of 9 pairs - winner of 10 pairs

The national cup will start on December 6 with the matches of the 1/8 finals. The final match will be held on May 19 next year. The winner before the 1/4 finals will be determined in one game. From this stage, home-away matches will take place.

Notably, along with eight Premier League teams, 4 representatives of the I Divison will compete in the Azerbaijan Cup.
