Azerbaijani national chess team secure their first win in world championship

Baku. 9 March. REPORT.AZ/ Azerbaijan's national team of male chess players took part in the fifth round of the world championship which is underway in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Report informs that in this round they encountered the US team and defeated it.
Within the team Arkadiy Naidich and Nijat Abbasov ended their encounters with a victory, Rauf Mammadov drew his opponent, while Gadir Huseynov's meeting continues. Even if the latter loses, the Azerbaijani national team already secured their victory.
In this round England drew India - 2:2.
Other encounters of the round are still underway.
Owing to the victory Azerbaijani team raised its score to 3. Meanwhile, the United States has 6 points.
