Slovak national footballer: Azerbaijan will not be an easy rival

Baku. 24 December. REPORT.AZ/ "We are really in the interest group, especially I would mention derby match with Hungary," a player of Slovakia's national team Albert Rusnak said in his interview to local profutbal.sk publication while commenting on his rivals in the 2020 European Championship qualifying round. 

According to Report, the 24-year-old midfielder spoke about other teams too. "The favorite in the group is Croatia, while Wales is also a strong team. I think that the match against Azerbaijani national will not be too easy. We will try to finish the group stage in the second place."

Rusnak said the decrease in the number of friendly matches during the preparation period to the qualifying round is a positive thing: "All matches are official, which is a positive moment for us. We look forward to the European championship always struggling for points."

Notably, The Azerbaijani national team will play at home against Slovakia on June 11 and hold the away match on November 19. Albert Rusnak, who has been in the squad since 2016, scored 3 goals in 15 games.
