Nikola Vlašić: Azerbaijan national team will play more closed and compactly

“We beat Slovakia. Now we will face another serious rival that plays in a completely different way,” footballer of Croatia national team Nikola Vlašić told Jutarnji List commenting on the qualifying Euro-2020 match against the Azerbaijan national team to be held in Baku.

The 22-year-old striker of CSKA Moscow, who scored his first goal in the match against Slovakia shared his expectations from the match in Baku: Certainly, Azerbaijan national team will play more indoor and compactly. Such a rival cannot be compared to a team which wanted to compete in Trnava. Unless, there is an extreme incident, we cannot defeat the Azerbaijani national team with a such play as in Slovakia. The matter is to win and to reach the goal by completing the mini-September round with 6 points.”
