Atletico Madrid open contract renewal talks with Antoine Griezmann

Antoine Griezmann and Atletico Madrid will open talks on a new contract this month, Report informs via Football Espana.

Los Rojiblancos are close to their objective of a La Liga top-four finish at the end of the campaign.

Qualification for the UEFA Champions League is a financial necessity for Atletico Madrid and it will dictate their summer transfer plans.

As per the latest from Diario AS, the club has already reached out to Griezmann’s sister and representative, to begin the renewal process.

Griezmann’s current deal in the Spanish capital expires in 2026 with an option to extend that by 12 months.
