Today marks anniversary of SOCAR bonds issue

Baku. 17 October. REPORT.AZ/ 77% of Azerbaijan's secondary corporate bond market accounts for SOCAR bonds.

Report informs, Ali Aghaoghlu, SOCAR Senior Adviser for Capital Markets, said at the event titled "Capital Markets in Azerbaijan: Opportunities and Perspectives" in Baku.

According to him, volume of the corporate bonds market has increased to 143 mln USD from 70 mln USD this year at the expense of SOCAR bonds. $ 110 mln of this amount, namely 77% is due to SOCAR bonds.

"Today marks anniversary of SOCAR bonds issue. A great deal of work has been done during this year. SOCAR bonds have created some kind of catalytic effect on the market. We established good cooperation with "ASAN Service". In this way, it is possible both to get information about the bonds and carry out operations easily and reliably", he noted.

According to him, demand for SOCAR bonds in the secondary market has increased in the past period, physical person's interest in the bonds increased, too and its positive impact on the Azerbaijani financial market is very important.
