Samir Sharifov: Replacing of state warrants for SGC project may be considered

Baku. 11 April. REPORT.AZ/ After the Southern Gas Corridor (SGC) project becomes fully operational, the issue of replacing government warrants can be considered.

Report informs, Azerbaijani Finance Minister Samir Sharifov said.

The "Southern Gas Corridor" CJSC is a private company founded by the state, which is engaged in financing of the Southern Gas Corridor project. Activities aimed at attracting loans were timely implemented. All these loans are state-guaranteed. This is due to the fact that according to international experience, bank warrant is required for implementation of project. Taking into account the fact that it is a new company, the state provides guarantees for it. But after the project becomes fully operational, we can work on replacing the state warrants”, he added.
