S&P Global announces inflation forecast for Azerbaijan for next two years

International rating agency S&P Global forecasts average annual inflation in Azerbaijan in 2025 at 4%.

Report informs, citing the agency, that inflation in the country will decrease to 3% in 2026.

Azerbaijan's Ministry of Economy expects annual inflation in the country to be 4.6% in 2025 and 4% in 2026. According to the latest forecasts of the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (in January 2025), inflation will be 5.5% in 2025, and 3.8% in 2026.

The UN, in turn, forecasts inflation in Azerbaijan at 3.6% this year, and 3.1% in 2026. The largest banking group in the Netherlands, ING Group, expects consumer prices in the country to grow by 4.8% in 2025 and 4.7% in 2026.

The average annual inflation in Azerbaijan last year was 2.2%. In January 2025, consumer prices increased by 5.4%.
