Pakistan SAI chief: Azerbaijan's supreme audit institution sets model for other countries

The rapid development of the Supreme Audit Institution of Azerbaijan and its achievements in this area have made it a model for other countries, Head of the Secretary-General of the Economic Cooperation Organization Supreme Audit Institutions (ECOSAI), Muhammad Ajmal Gondal, told Report.

He noted the importance of the election of the Supreme Audit Institutions of Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the Board of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) in terms of representing the interests of the region at the international level.

The head of the Supreme Audit Institution emphasized the high level of Azerbaijani-Pakistani relations: "The Chairman of the Accounts Chamber of Azerbaijan visited Pakistan, and we signed a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation. This document provides for the organization of trainings, joint audits, and mutual training."
