Net foreign assets of Azerbaijani banks down 5%

As of September 1 this year, the net foreign assets of Azerbaijani banks amounted to 21,126,500,000 manats (over $12.4 billion), down 2.4% m-o-m.

Report informs, referring to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, that the figure was 15.6% lower than in the beginning of the year and 4.6% less than on September 1, 2022.

At the end of August this year, the net domestic assets of banks amounted to 19,983,800,000 manats (over $11.8 billion), decreasing 2.2% in monthly comparison, 12.1% from the beginning of the year and rising 17.9% y-o-y.

There are 24 banks operating in Azerbaijan.
