Money transfers from Azerbaijan to Greece double in one year

In 2024, money transfers from individuals in Azerbaijan to Greece reached $2.558 million, marking a 2.01-fold increase (or $1.288 million) compared to the previous year.

According to Report, which cites the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, Greece accounted for 0.5% of the total remittances sent abroad from Azerbaijan.

Total international remittances from Azerbaijan in 2024 amounted to $526.76 million, reflecting a 4.25% decline from the previous year. In 2023, transfers to Greece stood at $1.27 million, while overall remittances abroad totaled $550.13 million.
