Lagarde resigns as IMF chief

Christine Lagarde has resigned as chief of the International Monetary Fund, Report informs citing TASS.
The decision on her resignation will officially come into effect on September 12.
Notably, Lagarde's resignation is linked to the fact that she was earlier nominated to the post of the head of the European Central Bank.
