The government of Iranian President Hassan Rouhani approved on Wednesday a plan to lop off four zeros from the country’s national currency.
According to Report, the governor of the Central Bank of Iran (CBI), Abdolnaser Hemmati, announced Wednesday that "The council of ministers approved today to drop four zeros from the national currency."
After the government's decision, the new national currency toman will be defined to substitute the rial. Each toman will be equivalent to 10,000 rial.
