Investments in Azerbaijan's economy up by 10%

Investment in fixed capital in Azerbaijan amounted to 7,148.3 million manats ($4.2 billion) in January-June 2023, marking a 10.4% growth, Report informs, referring to the State Statistical Committee.

Over the past year, investments in the oil-and-gas sector increased by 21.4%, and in the non-oil and gas sector surged by 4.2%.

During the reporting period, 4,322.9 million manats ($2.54 billion), or 60.5%, were made in production, 2,426.6 million manats ($1.43 billion), or 33.9%, in services, 398.8 million manats ($234.59 million), or 5.6%, in housing construction.

Domestic funds constituted 5.209 billion manats ($3.06 billion) (72.9%) of the funds directed to fixed capital, and construction and installation work amounted to 5,048.7 million manats ($2.97 billion) (70.6%).
